I'M GOING TO CHICAGO!
Okay, I'll admit, it's more of an "educational" trip than a vacation, but still...it's CHICAGO.
I don't know much about the city, but I'm having fun looking at all the pictures of the skyline and the buildings and I think the one I chose to use in this post is extremely gorgeous.
*squeals*
I'm not looking forward to the bus ride down there, but I think once I actually get to the city, once I breathe in the windy air, and look at all the skyscrapers, and take in all the people, I'll explode.
I am only going to be there for two days, which in my opinion, is not enough time to explore. But hopefully, I'll get to take some cool pictures, and maybe a get a spark of inspiration from the change of scenery because I am desperately in need of a change of scenery.
I don't know if anyone got a chance to read my rant about school I posted last month, but just to sum everything up, my school is closing next year.
My senior year.
I can't even begin to explain how much it hurts to have to graduate from another school, but basically the school that the kids from my school have to go to is going to be a single gender school.
It's a big building so they're putting two separate schools in there. One is going to be an all girl's school, the other is going to be an all boy's school.
I am an ambassador for my school, along with sixteen other girls, which means we get to travel to different cities Chicago being the first, with single gender schools.
The school we plan on visiting is the Young Women's Leadership Charter School.
I'm not really for all-girl schools because for one, some teenage girls are annoying, and having guys around helps balance out the annoying, snobby girl ratio. *ahem* I know since I'm a girl I should be for an all-girl school, but truthfully I just like boys too much, and spending the whole day with girls would kill me. You hear me. KILL ME.
Anyways, that's the reason why I'm going.
But we do get ONE DAY to look around the city.
Not only that, but once we get back home, we don't have to go to school if we don't want to. We get passes to stay home, and... OMG this is going to be awesome.
SO SO AWESOME.
Chicago, here I come.
