1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins2. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
3. Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
Okay, so these are ten books that I really want to read but the bookstore might not have them and I am open to suggestions. So, if you have books to recommend me, leave a comment.
I guess you can get a good idea of what kind of books I like to read by looking at this list, but I appreciate any suggestions and thanks.
4. Break by Hannah Moskowitz

The Blue Girl by Charles De Lint
Cracked Up to be and Hunger Games are my faves out of those :)
DEFINITELY DEFINITELY DEFINITELY read The Book Thief if you haven't already. Other books I love (not new releases): Howl's Moving Castle, The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray, Sabriel, I Capture the Castle, Fly by Night (this is Middle gradish but still wonderful).
I think you'd also like Wake, City of Bones, and The Darkangel by Meredith Ann Pierce.
HUGE new releases I've heard good things about: Beautiful Creatures, Fallen (not out yet).
Hope this helps if you need any other book recs or more specific books feel free to ask. I <3 giving book recs :)
LOOKING FOR ALASKA and PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER are the two that have made me say "wow wow wow" when I finished them.
I liked 1,2,3 and especially 8 on your current list, and plan to read 4.
Thanks Kath and Choco <3
I keep hearing good things about The Book Thief, so I'll add that.
Ooh, I just wish I can buy the whole book store! But anyways, I seen Howl's Moving Castle (the movie) It's one of my faves so I'll add that, just in case I can't find the other ones.
I've read City of Bones (loved it) and I was just on the author who wrote Wake's website yesterday. The premise seems interesting but the book seems a bit too short.
Ooh and I want to read Beautiful Creatures, so that's a definite back-up, but knowing Borders, they probably won't have it because the never have any books.
And I've seen The Blue Girl at Borders! I thought the cover was pretty cool, so now that you mentioned it, Kathleen, I'll have to take a look into it.
Thanks so much guys!
Thanks Kate!
I've heard so many good things about 1,2,3 & 8 and I thought it would be crazy if I didn't read them.
I've read Looking For Alaska, which reminds me that I do want to read Paper Towns...
Hey Ely! Ooh, yay for Cracked Up to Be :D I second The Book Thief. Plus... The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and Wintergirls, if you haven't read 'em. Such awesome books.
You absolutely MUST read Taken By Storm by Angela Morrison :)
I LOVED Lamet, and I know Ballad is the second book in the series :)
